"This is Christy from OTD Bookkeeping - my turn to write the Blog this time.
Well, it was a noisy lunch at today's PN meeting - with a full complement of members, two members-in-waiting and three welcome guests chatting, discussing business and eating informally.
As always, the talk before the formal part is as useful as the meeting itself, and after our one minute round, Chairman Nigel of Arrans Legal encouraged us to think about how we might be challenging ourselves in 2012 to make the most of our businesses by formulating a personal strategy to give ourselves direction, by forward planning, and setting our goals.
Activities such as this seem to be enjoyed by most people and one of our guests commented on the friendliness of the group which encouraged her to feel that even on an initial visit, she could take part in group events.
Though the conversation did take a turn for the worse when John Anderton of Transagents said that he had been asked if he could sell a Sex Shop on a client's behalf ............."
